The queen of pop-punk is back and Avril is not messing around.
Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne is back with new music and we’re pumped. She released her new single “Bite Me” which in the music video features Travis Barker on the drums.
The track was co-produced with Barker, John Feldmann, and Mod Sun after the singer announced she has signed with Barker’s label DTA Records.
She first announced new music on the way following a performance on Barker House of Horrors live-stream and said “Should I drop my first single next week?”
Then teased a snippet of the song on her TikTok where it had over 10 million views in only a few days.
Lavigne is happy with her new label as you can see in the video she is showing off a DTA Records sticker on the guitar.
Avril shared when she first worked with the Blink 182 drummer, “The first time we worked together was 15 years ago on my new album ‘The Best Damn Thing,’ and I have really enjoyed watching him develop into the producer that he is today. We spent a lot of time writing songs and working on this record together, and signing to this record label DTA gelt like the perfect home for me and my new music. Travis understands my vision as a musician, my creative process as an artist, and my goals at this stage in my career.”
You can stream the banger “Bite Me” on Spotify and Apple Music now and be sure to check out the music video for this track. I can’t wait to see what Avril releases next.
Pop-punk fans rejoice because Simple Plan is back with new music and I know one thing: I am pumped for their latest release.
Back with their first new music release since 2019, the band released “The Antidote,” a single off their upcoming sixth studio album.
The band shared “ We’re so excited to finally release ‘The Antidote,’ the first single off our upcoming sixth album!.” They shared on genius, “The song is a throwback to our classic Simple Plan sound but with a modern twist. It has all the elements our fans have come to love and expect from our band: a big energetic chorus and honest and heartfelt lyrics that deal with life and the struggles we all face. It feels like the perfect starting point and a great preview of what’s to come on the album.”
2022 will be big for the band, along with the release of a new album, it also marks the 20th anniversary of their debut album “No Pads, No Helmet…Just Balls” which during the pandemic gained a lot of attention on TikTok with the “I’m Just A Kid” challenge.
The song had millions create videos of favorite memories from individuals when they were younger. The challenge also inspired celebrities to join in on the fun including David Dobrik, Ed Sheeran, Will Smith, and more. “I’m Just A Kid” was certified RIAA Platinum in 2020.

Swedish supergroup ABBA is officially back with a new album for the first time in 40 years. The powerhouse group is hoping to connect with a new generation in the latest album release. In a statement back in September, the group shared jokingly “They say it’s foolhardily to wait more than 40 years between albums.”
Cue the charcuterie board and wine because Red (Taylor’s Version) is officially here!
On Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, the Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter re-released her hit album Red but this time it’s her version, Taylor’s Version and we could not be more excited for her.
The re-released on the 2012 album is part of her ongoing mission to rerecord all of her music and regain ownership of her earlier music.
The original album released in 2021 included 16 tracks, however, Red (Taylor’s Version) is a whopping 30 tracks and includes collabs from Phoebe Bridgers, Gary Lightbody, Ed Sheeran, and Chris Stapleton. If that wasn’t enough, the re-release also includes unreleased songs that didn’t make the original album back in 2012.
Taylor, who told you to go this hard?! A re-recording of the original would’ve been more than enough for us, but looks like the holidays came early this year because we were graced with more and I am HERE for it. Not only did we get a new album but Taylor had a deal with Starbucks on release day where you could order Taylor’s favorite drink at Starbucks which is a grande Caramel nonfat latte known as “Taylor Latte.”
One thing I am loving most of all of the re-releases of Taylor’s albums is how much her voice has matured. Especially when it comes to “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” I personally feel more emotion from the mature voice with this track yet still get the same sass.
Red is the second album re-released from swift as she re-released her album “Fearless (Taylor’s Version” in April 2021. Swift made plans to re-record earlier albums from 2006 to 2017 (reputation album) and no word yet on the next release.
After the release of Red (Taylor’s Version), Swift tweeted a heartfelt thank you to her fans. The tweet read “It never would have been possible to go back & remake my previous work, uncovering lost art & forgotten gems along the way if you hadn’t emboldened me. Red is about to be mine again, but it has always been ours. Now we begin again. Red (my version) is out.”
