Souvenir of the Week: A Punk Rock Tourist Advent Calendar

Seasons greetings fellow tourists! It’s time for another Souvenir of the Week, however due to the impending holiday season I figured I should do something special for all of you. At first I though I’d share with you a really awesome Christmas album or two this week, but the joy of giving has over taken me and made me want to do something more. That is why each day for the next 24 days I will be sharing a new Christmas-inspired song from my homeland of punk!

You may be asking yourself right now, “But how will the Punk Rock Tourist do that ?”. You would think I would just make a new post every day for the next 24 days, but I’d rather not overshadow the other great posts here at KCR or make you have to go to a new page everyday. So instead, through the use of general internet wizardry and holiday magic, I have created an online advent calendar that will reveal a new song as each day goes by.

All you have to do is click the picture below and you will be magically teleported to the advent calendar. Once you make sure you didn’t lose any parts in the process, all you have to do is hover your mouse over the number which corresponds to the day you are looking at it and click on the picture. Beneath the calendar will pop up the song’s youtube video, and all that is left for you to do is enjoy the music and be sure to return to the calendar every day. If you wish to find out more information about the song or the artist, all you have to do is click on the “Watch on youtube” button in each video.

Anyways, the first song should be available for your enjoyment right now and don’t forget to check back every day for a new treat. Thanks again for reading and happy listening!

The Punk Rock Tourist

Distinguished only by its red knit cap and its bad Hawaiian t-shirt, The Punk Rock Tourist is a mysterious student who was somehow given permission to spread the good word of Punk, Ska, Hardcore, and other rad music to the good people of SDSU.
