Bachelor fans, we officially have your new host for The Bachelor.

Former New York Giants quarterback and contestant Jesse Palmer will host season 26 of the ABC dating reality show.

“Welcome back, @JessePalmerTV Jesse palmer will be hosting the upcoming season of #TheBachelor” Read a tweet on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, from The Bachelor show account.

Palmer participated in the show as The Bachelor himself in season 5, selecting Jessica Bowlin in the end, but their relationship only lasted a few months after filming.

Jesse is replacing former Bachelor franchise host Chris Harrison, who departed the series after backlash for defending contestant Rachel Kirkconnell, who in 2018 dressed in a costume at an antebellum plantation-themed fraternity form.

Palmer has been a sports commentator and analyst for ESPN and hosted the entertainment show “DailyMail TV.”

Season 26 of The Bachelor is currently in production, with the season expected to premiere early next year.
