SATURDAY
Alvvays–
An indie pop band from Toronto, Canada, pronounced like “always”, this band creates sound that is fuzzy, jangly, and collective of how one feels throughout their quarter-life crisis. Combining the tunes of a 60’s AM radio and an 80’s post punk discord, Alvvays captures the woozy feelings attached to the humor and heartache of seeking intimacy in a large and foreign place. The achingly liberating lyrics provide some sort of sentiment to youth. Playing at 3:25 on Saturday, this band is definitely worth checking out!

Run the Jewels–
Run the Jewels is a hip-hop duo consisting of NYC rapper/producer El-P and Atlanta based rapper Killer Mike. The underground hip hop rappers are a crossover between new school and old school and are surely evolving the game with their bold lyrics, sick beats, and no BS attitude. Viciously aware and proud supporters of Bernie Sanders (!!), Run the Jewels has a sound out there that is yet to be touched. Definitely check out their set on Saturday at 4:55!

Formed in 2004, the American indie duo Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino are full of infinite energy. Dancey beats and anthemic lyrics, this is the band you’ll want to play at your next party. Explosive with synthy riffs, their most popular track Daylight is perfect for that feel good playlist. With surprisingly simple song melodies and hooks that you can’t help but to sing along to, Matt and Kim are upbeat, easygoing, and energetic. Beach House-
Dream pop duo from Baltimore, Beach House is both dark and alluring when it comes to their sound. Formed in 2004, Beach House has six full length albums and an incredible discography. Poetic and fascinating, this band has an ability to tell a story and evoke emotions that play with idle youth and the bittersweet residue left after it’s gone. A truly magical sound and fantastic band, Beach House is playing at 8:15 on Sunday evening and they are definitely a set worth seeing.
