Meet Christina:

Christina Kilambi is currently a freshman studying public health here at SDSU. Originally from Temecula, she’s a Southern California native. Christina loves looking at the moon at night, and she hates rude people. Her music playlists consist of Frank Ocean, Drake, Rihanna, Ratatat and The Buttertones. If she could only eat one thing for the rest of her life, it would be Russian dumplings. You can always catch Christina long-boarding to class and around campus.

Where are you favorite places to shop?

Forever 21, American Eagle and PacSun. Each store is good for something. You can always count on Forever 21 to have all the basics, and if you need something on short notice they’ll most likely have it. American Eagle has the best jeans. I like PacSun’s beach style. I also really like thrift shopping. It’s cheap, and you can come across some good finds. I think searching for things is the best, most fun part because you can find cool, weird things that nobody else has – you’re not buying the same clothes as everyone else.

How would you describe your style?

People usually describe my style as “skater chic.” I just like to dress comfortable and carefree.

What, or who, would you say influences your style the most?

Rihanna. She’s constantly pushing the boundaries of fashion. Her style is always changing because she wears whatever she wants.

What can we always see you wearing?

My old, beat-up Converse. I [longboard] everywhere, so I don’t really like to wear nice or open-toed shoes.

So far, what has been your favorite experience at SDSU?

Meeting all the people from all around the country, and even the world. SDSU has a really diverse campus, and that’s one of my favorite things about this place.

What are you looking forward to in your next three years at SDSU?

I’m looking forward to becoming a better person, and growing and learning about myself as I go through college. I’m also looking forward to becoming a resident advisor next year. We’ll see how it goes, though!
