almost monday kicked off Life is Beautiful at the festival’s main stage on a warm Friday afternoon. The Indie-pop trio, made up of Dawson Daughtery, Luke Fabry, and Cole Clisby are from San Diego, California. The band just finished their month-long Summer tour, traveling all over the country. 

Almost Monday wracked up a dancey crowd as the first act to open Life is Beautiful, and they performed well, mirroring their ecstatic and energetic audience. The band has a very fun and upbeat tone behind their music, which definitely translates through their stage presence. It’s no surprise that their music sounds like a warm and fun summer day, which is a perfect fit for Life is Beautiful’s Friday mood. The fest got off on the right start to almost monday. They played their successful hit “sunburn” which was definitely one of the highlights of my night. 

There are definitely exciting things coming up for almost monday and I’m looking forward to their success, especially since they’ve grown out of the San Diego music scene. almost monday is playing a New Year’s Eve show with Summer Salt at the House of Blues in San Diego. They’re also going on tour next Spring with Beach Weather!
