Hey everyone! It’s time for trailer spotlight, where I pick three of the most anticipated trailers released this week, break them down, and jam them into one easy place for you all to see!

First up is the trailer for Guardian of the Galaxy 2:

The Guardians are back! Marvel officially released the teaser trailer for the Guardian of the Galaxy sequel, and all our favorite characters will be back — even a baby Groot! Featured in the clip is the classic “OOGA CHAKA” chant, along with slow, short shots of the team’s ship, the Guardians themselves, as well as the possible bad guy for the movie. Included is a touching moment between Drax and Peter, who seem to be warming up to each other pretty well from the last time we saw them. There are also some other old faces that seem to be joining the team, such as Gamora’s sister/ex-rival, Nebula, and Yondu from Peter’s old Ravager crew.

The movie is set for the release date of May 5, 2017, so make sure to grab your walkmans and mark your calendars!

Next up is the trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2:

For all you gamers out there, Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced by Rockstar via ominous screencaps and logos slowly tweeted out throughout the week, getting everyone pumped and anticipated for the sequel.

And now we have our trailer! Although I personally did not play the first installment of this game, the trailer was still captivating. Taking place in the gun-slinging old west and set to appropriately dramatic music, we see absolutely stunning animation as the teaser takes us through the setting and meet up of the characters in the game. The release date is set for Fall of 2017, however the game has only been announced for Xbox and Playstation. No word for PC gamers yet, sorry folks. But keep your eyes peeled!

And lastly, our final trailer of the week is for Logan:

The first official trailer for Logan has been released and it has indeed confirmed what we have all been dreading: it seems like this may be the last time we see Hugh Jackman as our Wolverine. The trailer starts off with somber music, with shots of a very well aged, yet injured Logan taking care of an even more aged Professor Xavier. This also seems to point to another fact that we may see the last of Patrick Stewart’s Professor Xavier in this movie as well. But don’t get your claws sharpened just yet! The trailer introduces a new mutant, a young girl who shares the same abilities as Logan. The internet has predicted and claimed for her to be X-23, a young mutant bred and trained by the government to be the killing machine that Logan was once supposed to be. As this new trio seemingly runs from the government (no surprise there) throughout the trailer, it looks like we’ll be watching Hugh’s final curtain call go out with a bang.

So get your tissue boxes ready for March 3rd, 2017, as this may be the very last time we see Hugh as Logan on the big screen. Don’t worry though, I’m sure Marvel/Fox won’t fail to find a worthy successor in the near future, but it won’t be a shock to anyone that whoever that is, they’ll have big shoes (and claws) to fill.
