Tonight, the Aztecs came away with an 8-5 victory over the Toreros. Andrew Brown got his first home run as an Aztec and Brett Seeburger got the win. Ryan Olson got the loss for the Toreros.
The scoring started in the bottom of the 1st when Tim Zier singled and drove home Greg Allen.
Then the Aztecs had a big 3rd inning, scoring 6 runs, which caused the Toreros to change pitchers 3 times in 1 inning. Tyler France got a 2-run RBI off of a left field single, which drove home Zier and Allen. Tyler Adkison’s walk scored Seby Zavala, and the last 2 runs on the inning came from France, who scored on a passed ball, and from Adkison and Spencer Thornton, who scored on Brown’s 2 RBI single.
Michael Cederoth came in to close out the game for the Aztecs in a 1-2-3 9th inning.
