Yam Haus, a band of three from Minneapolis brings energy and charisma to the House of Blues on November second. Although on the second half of their US tour with Sawyer, Yam Haus didn’t lack energy or spirit for a second of their set. Dance moves, loud acoustics and catchy lyrics kept the crowd engaged and dancing throughout the show. Their indie pop sound was enticing and varied, yet showed range by even slowing down for an Alecia Keys cover which held the audience at complete captivation. Although the musical performance was seamless, what stuck out was the bands obvious chemistry and genuine passion for performing their work. Living up to their name, “You Are Me,” the energy of the show gave a sense that everyone in the crowd was connected and friends. The personality and camaraderie that Yam Haus displayed left not only wanting more music, but with a sense that we had made new friends and been incorporated to a new community.
