I am always excited to see Slow Pulp live. They delivered an awesome performance at the House of Blues Voodoo Room in downtown San Diego. I’ve been a fan of them since I entered my indie rock phase in high school, and I could not wait to see them play again.
Voodoo Room was packed with a sea of bodies that were clearly vibing out the whole time. Though the room was filled, the audience was nice, which makes sense since Slow Pulp is such a laid back band. I’ve never seen a crowd that large at the Voodoo Room before.
Their angelic, dreamlike sound completely overtook the room. Although their sound doesn’t contain too many style disparities, their cohesiveness creates a long and meditative show that everyone sways to. Their melancholy music enhanced the weather on that chilled Autumn night.
