The Miami R&B artist, Jenevieve, closes out her CRYSALIS tour at the House of Blues – Voodoo Room in San Diego on Nov. 19, 2025 with an intimate and laidback performance. The tour is named after her newest album, CRYSALIS, which was released on Aug. 8, 2025.
The 14-track album features airy instrumentals and soft but controlled vocals, producing a body of work that feels tastefully composed and not overdone. Each track has room to exist and breathe on its own, wonderfully showcasing Jenevieve’s unique combination of R&B, neo-soul, and funk-pop.

Her live vocals sound barely different from her recorded ones — Jenevieve’s voice melts R&B textures with groovy pop structures and sounds, creating a catchy product with memorable melodies when all put together. She has a consistent sound within her music without it being too repetitive, making for a nice flow between the songs in the setlist.
For instance, her live performance of tracks like “Hvn High” and “Partycrasher” showcase her more funk-leaning sounds along with electric, rhythmic choruses, whereas “Beam Me Up” and “Naive” highlight more of the dreamier, softer sides of her instrumentals with gentle drums and vocals that make you feel like you’re floating. The atmosphere Jenevieve creates sonically is captivatingly calm, yet it simultaneously compels you to dance and move however you feel.

Jenevieve ended the show with her most popular track, “Baby Powder,” off of her 2021 album, Division. As soon as this track started to play, the crowd erupted with a cheer and sang the song back to her. A sea of big smiles and loud singing voices all throughout the venue brought the perfect energy to end the show off on.
The environment that Jenevieve creates live mirrors the feeling her music exudes: reeking with sincerity and artistry. Her vulnerable and raw stage presence enhances the crowd’s connection to not only her, but with each track. CRYSALIS when performed live is a warm, relatable experience that leaves its listeners feeling peaceful while entertained and fulfilled.
